I often have breakouts due to lack of sleep especially during exam weeks and competition season where I would sleep for 1 hour in the morning and another 2 hours in the afternoon then pull an all-nighter afterwards. I also get acne due to the humid weather that dries my skin. I’m still constantly experimenting between products to see which works best to fit my needs but these have done great justice to my face so far! \(ˊ▽ˋ)/ ( There are a few products that aren’t in the photo because I’ve recently run out of them and haven’t found the time to buy new ones)

In the mornings, afternoons and night, I wash my face using warm water to open up my pores followed by NuTeen’s Anti-Acne & Pimple Cleanser. It’s really soothing to use on dry skin because it has this minor minty effect a few seconds after application. I used to wash my face using Papulex’s Moussant Cleaning Gel under a prescription of a doctor. It worked as it promised after 6 1/2 weeks though it wasn’t as effective or soothing as NuTeen’s (probably because I set such a high bar for it but I had a low bar for NuTeen). It doesn’t smell and it didn’t feel heavy! It helped to gain back the moisture in my skin that I lost to using foam cleansers in the past years.

After the cleansing, I apply toner before everything else. I use both Simple’s Kind To Skin Soothing Facial Toner, and NuTeen’s Acne And Pimples Away Toner, but personally I prefer NuTeen’s over Simple’s. It was just more effective because it was harsher while Simple’s felt very mild. Though I have to admit Simple’s toner worked in a long-term style and it definitely helped in making my skin feel pampered enough for a harsh hot day.

After that, in the mornings and at nights I lightly dab a cotton pad (3 times to make 3 small damp dots in 3 different places on it!) with Bio-Oil so that my face doesn’t become too oily/greasy and uncomfortable. I pat it all over my face really, really, really lightly so that, again, my skin doesn’t become oily from it and so that I would have enough for full-coverage. Bio-Oil has worked well for me since it lightened my acne scars and helped to soothe my rashes and cracked skin when the weather gets too dry.

In the mornings, I apply NuTeen’s Acne Away Gel once my face isn’t as oily from before when I applied Bio-Oil. It doesn’t dry quick but it helps to shrink the size and dries my pimples as well as evening the scars.

At nights, I apply NuTeen’s Sleeping Mask first then followed by Papulex’s Isocorrexion Hydrating Cream. I apply a lot of the sleeping mask onto my face, lathering it up to the point I can’t feel my skin if I touch my face gently because my skin is usually irritated and dry from the sun and heat combined. It’s recommended on the packaging to use at least 2-3 times weekly, and I have to admit that it'[ a good advice because one time I used it daily, I ended up being too dependent on it that my face became extremely dry. It has a soothing minty effect thought it would sting for a while after application if my skin is too dry. It dries quickly too and it doesn’t leave any sticky residue! The hydrating cream on the other hand depends on how much I apply. I usually dab a dot or two on my forehead, cheeks, chin and nose then gently rub it in circles for better absorption. If I apply too much, it becomes sticky and it leaves residues that ends up making me uncomfortable as it feels heavy on my skin (T︵T). For the hydrating cream, is a small aopunt can go a long way! (And it also saves you from a lot of discomfort)

I have terrible tolerance to both hot and cold weather and a minor allergy to prawns. This in turn causes my lips to be perforated with pits that secretes pus and wrinkles and peels which also means that the skin around my lips to wrinkle and peel and have long stretches of raw skin as I would desperately rub at it with something rough to get rid of the itchy discomfort (terrible idea, I know). Recently (more like 2 weeks ago), my mom bought me a Mentholatum Natural Lip Treatment Lipbalm on accident. It contains vitamin E and aloe vera extract that helped me a lot in treating my heavily scarred and injured lips. It also has UV protection that prevents my lips from being exposed to much to the dangerous rays that threatens to ruin them forever( TωT) After a week, I saw a lot of improvements! My lips weren’t peeling anymore and there weren’t any pits to secrete sticky pus left! This is definitely something I would recommend because 1) it’s cheap and 2) it works really well.
