“Nothing. We found nothing.” Said the tall, brown haired man, coming closer to the policeman.
The room was covered by downs. The furniture were overturned and their contents lay on the floor. The policeman stand amid shattered glasses, scattered papers and clothes. In the hand he held few papers. He raised gently his head and carefully, under his dark eyebrows looked at the younger man.
“Are you sure?” He asked.
“Yes Sir, besides jars, there is nothing.”
The policeman looked around. His face rested on Eli, which held in her arms, crying blond haired girl. Uninfringeable, she watched at him.
It seems that he was wrong. There were no proofs. Tomorrow he will file a report, in which he will write that both Mrs Bowlin and Miss Gutmann have anything common with underground and even if the missing girl was really implicated in something bigger, he will make up something. For example he will write that both ladies are very religious and being naive they lodged dangerous person.
He smiled, thinking about his mysterious plan. He put back papers, when suddenly his eyes rested on beautiful gold bracelet.
Beautiful. He thought, taking it. He rotated it in his palms, looking carefully at embellishment, when he suddenly frozen.
“Whose it is?” He asked, pointing the object.
“Mine.” Answered Eli.
“Really?’ Asked the policeman.
Eli nodded her head.
“In that case, please dress yourself Miss Gutmann.”
