Hollow part 31
I DON’T KNOW ENGLISH VERY WELL. I JUST WANT TO IMPROVE IT.
I’M NOT A WRITER.
IF YOU SAW A MISTAKE, LET ME KNOW.
“Was it necessary… ? This whole performance? We both know that it wasn’t she. ” Said Alois Furmann, turning to a younger man sitting comfortable in the chair. The man took a deep puff, squinting his blue eyes, and then the light cloud came from his mouth.
“I wouldn’t be so sure.” He answered looking at the cigarette.
“What are you saying?” Said Alois sharply, sizing him up with astonishment eyes.
“Couse you see, there are many signs…” He slightly kept his head.
“For God sake!” Interrupted him Alois. “Silvester, what are you talking about?! What signs?! There are too many discrepancies in testimonies. So many different descriptions of this criminal as if she or he was a damn chameleon!”
“If I remember correctly there was a blonde hair woman.”
“Blonde, brunette, old and young…even a male and to be honest finding the perpetrator is like looking a needle in a haystack.”
“Sometimes needle is big and hay is less.”
Alois froze. “No.” He shook his head. “You wouldn’t do this. I know you wouldn’t do this…I wouldn’t do this. This is unmoral.”
“In that case why you took her here? You took her because you believed in her innocence? No.” – He shook his head. “You did this because you did your job and duty made you to do it, but you forgot about one, very important rule here. There is no escape. Certainly, when I am here. I saw a lot like her. Good wifes, daughters and mothers that later without remorse are starving their children, killing their husbands with jealous and kicking out their parents during frozen winter, hoping that they will freeze or will be torn apart by wild animals.” He looked at him carefully. “You also have daughter. Don’t you care about her? – Seeing the change on his face, he knew that he found his weak spot. “For now there is only one victim, a men, but you don’t know, what goes on inside ill person. One day a grown male, second day…”
“Stop it!” Shouted the older man.
“Think about it Alois, because destiny of your daughter rest in your own hands.”
