Hollow part 48

  1. I DON’T KNOW ENGLISH VERY WELL. I JUST WANT TO IMPROVE IT.
  2. I’M NOT A WRITER.
  3. IF YOU SAW A MISTAKE, LET ME KNOW.

Description:

Are you really think that you are a master of your fate? What would you say, if I told you that you were wrong.

Akim, no longer young, but still good looking, rich man bought a new technology (machine that can cut many trees). He didn’t know that this simple decision not only will have an impact on his own life, but also change life of many others. There is also a girl. The girl,  who want to discover, who she really is and what is her role in this mess.

Short note: I made some changes in part 47. I cut the talk between Eidel and Akim 😛

At 8.30 PM, exactly one and a half hours after a fixed date Mr and Mrs Engelhardt visited Mrs Cordelia Puch, who was Eidel’s cousin. Cordelia’s husband Friedrich had a high-level position in Ministry of War and was informed of every little news from front.

“We thought you were attacked.“ Said the Master of the house spread his arms in welcome gesture.  “Please, come in, make yourselves comfortable. Is that a new dress?” He turned to Eidel, looking up and down her clothes.  If someone had to describe her style, he will use one word- extravagance. For sure Mrs Engelhardt distinguish herself and her artistic soul had influence on this.

Eidel smiled and nodded.

“New. From Paris.”

“From Paris?! To Paris we go for breakfast”. He recited one of the slogans, calling to fight. “And what’s that?” He asked, pointing a canvas, wrapped in paper.

“A gift.”

“For me?” He asked this time pointing himself.

Eidel nodded in negative.

Friedrich turned his head back and shouted.

“Cordelia, darling, come here quickly!”

Suddenly a small woman stood in doorway.

“There is a gift for you.”

She greeted guests, then came to the painting and ripped the paper.

“Oh…i-it’s beautiful.” She stuttered.

In front of her was a portrait. Probably her portrait. It was hard to say, because all Eidel painting had one the same point – were disturbing. This one for sure didn’t show this fragile Cordelia woman, but phantom, a product of wild imagination.

‘Isn’t it? I’m so happy that you like it, because I put a lot of heart in this.” Despite she smiled, Cordelia detected a note of sarcasm in her tone. She glared at her. Eidel grinned and started to swing to sideways like normally did small girl, but Eidel wasn’t a kid. She was a 27 years old woman, daughter of one of the richest man in the country and it was well-known that she was crazy. So crazy that she ashamed her own family.

“Your wife is very…”

“Talented?” Interrupted Akim. “Yes, I know.”

‘Do you know what kind of dream I had today?” Asked suddenly Eidel, taking Cordelia’s arm.

Mrs Puch shook her head.

“I died.” Cordelia’s pupils widened.

“And you know what else?”

Cordelia didn’t say anything.

“You died with me.”

Mrs Push opened her mouth and white like a wall said: “Let’s go eat!”
