Hollow part 55
- I DON’T KNOW ENGLISH VERY WELL. I JUST WANT TO IMPROVE IT.
- I’M NOT A WRITER.
- IF YOU SAW A MISTAKE, LET ME KNOW.
Are you really think that you are a master of your fate? What would you say, if I told you that you were wrong.
Akim, no longer young, but still good looking, rich man bought a new technology (machine that can cut many trees). He didn’t know that this simple decision not only will have an impact on his own life, but also change life of many others. There is also a girl. The girl, who want to discover who she really is and what is her role in this mess.
“Akim, wait!” Shouted Aaron, turning around. “Damn beasts! Out, out, out!” He waved, trying to drive away dogs that encircled him.
“You are bad man Aaron. Only the bad people don’t like dogs.” Said Akim, walking along a path in his garden.
“I didn’t say that I don’t like them. I just feel a little discomfort.” Suddenly he jumped, making a high-pitched voice, when a pointing breed was sniffing his trousers.
From a distance came a laugh. Aaron narrowed his eyes and looked at a woman, siting under the big tree.
“Your wife is crazy. She know about my attitude to dogs and she did it on purpose.”
Akim turned back and pointed his index finger towards his friend. “Watch your mouth!” Then he turned back and walked straight ahead.
“Am I said crazy?” Asked Aaron, catching up with him. “Of course, I wanted to say that she is adorable.”
“Yes?” Asked red haired man, grinning widely.
“I should order to throw you in the pits.”
“Pits?” Aaron stopped. The smile disappeared from his face. “But there is dark and damp.”
“If you don’t want to visit it, better mind your manners!”
“You are a brute!”
Akim stopped and his eyes rested on gardener, who with big scissors leaned over hedge.
“What are you doing?” Asked Aaron, peeping nervously at Akim.
“Do you think that just two of us can do it?”
Aaron cleared his throat. “Do what?”
“Throw you to the pits.”
“I-I d-don’t think so…”
Akim eyes swept over Aaron’s body.
“You have right.” Murmured Akim.“Maybe we could use someone else to help. Hey! You!” He beckoned to greenkeeper.
“Wait, wait, wait!” Aaron grabbed Akim’s hand. The blond haired man bent his head down and looked at their holding hands.
“Aaron…If you wanted to tell me something, I have to disappoint you. I don’t see a future together. I have wife.”
Suddenly Aaron realized the precarious situation. He let go Akim’s hands and red like bitterroot moved back. Embarrassed, he looked the other way, when suddenly his ears reached a silent laugh.
“I hate you!” He hissed, turning instinctively.
“You should have seen your face, Aaron.” Said Akim, not hiding his amusement.
“I see it everyday morning!”
“My lord?” Asked gardener.
“You can go.” The man bowed and came back to his work.
“Only once in a day? In what age you live?”
Aaron pressed his lips.
“The years passed and you still not take yourself too seriously.” Continued Akim.
‘It’s hard to not take, when I have friends like you and Felix.”
Hearing friend’s name, Akim pondered.
“Are you alright? “ Asked suddenly Aaron, studding Akim’s face.
“Yeah…” He turned his face aside.
I see… thought Aaron.
“You’ll never guess, who came yesterday to my office.” Aaron changed topic.
Akim arched his eyebrow.
“Person you cheated long time ago, who came to break your neck?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Look at me. I’m a right man.”
“For sure.” Muttered Akim.
“Did you say something?” Asked Aaron.
“Fine, I will help you, because I see that you have problem.”
“Oh, thank you my savior.” Said Akim with a hint of irony.
“Karmazin?! I thought that he is in Moscow.” He said surprised.
“Ha! I told you so. He came back few days ago.”
“What he wanted?”
Aaron shrugged. “He just came to say “Hello.””
“That’s nice of him. Did he have any news?”
“To be honest I didn’t inquire.”
“What a change. Normally, you know about everything first.”
Aaron pouted his lips.
“Not this time. I’m interested only in things that give money and Russia is a sinking ship… Ooo… I see one passenger. “
Akim frowned his eyebrows. He turned back and saw, walking towards him woman with suitcase.
